Engrossed•2016

Engrossed is the result of my contemplation of the things I relish and sources of sustenance in my life. Each piece in this assemblage art series takes the shape of a brimming sandwich.  The bread slices are cut from wood and cast from glass, cement and bronze. The “fixings” inside the slices consist of the remnants from past mixed media assemblages and sculptural installations. I will continue to experiment with different mediums and methods for creating sandwiches, until the series has reached a gross, totalling 144 pieces.
