"Engrossed," an ongoing series of sculptural works, is a deconstruction of unresolved autobiographical accounts. Conflicted with the often opposing desires for creative fulfilment and practical sustenance, Rontherin Ratliff creates works resembling sandwiches to digest times of uncertainty. The witticism and uniformity in the sandwich sculptures provide a non-threatening and familiar platform to present anxiety-driven narratives.
